Brian O’Sullivan, Ph.D. (ABD) ~ Vice President of Consulting

Biography:

Mr. O’Sullivan specializes in public safety testing, and over the course of his 15+ year career has managed over 200 projects involving assessment centers, promotional test development, structured oral interviews, entry-level exam development, physical-ability test development, performance evaluation process development and candidate preparatory training programs.  Mr. O’Sullivan started his career at I/O Solutions, Inc. in 2001 as a project manager, was promoted to senior consultant, director of consulting, and most recently, to VP of Consulting.

As the VP of Consulting, Mr. O’Sullivan provides leadership and guidance, ensures best practices and compliance with professional and legal regulations is maintained, and trains and mentors I/O staff in the use of the latest test development theories.

During his 10-year tenure at I/O Solutions, Mr. O’Sullivan has worked with numerous police departments, sheriff’s departments, state police departments, correctional facilities, federal law enforcement agencies and municipal fire departments. Some of the more notable cities he has completed large-scale assessment projects include: Atlanta, Buffalo, Chicago, Houston, San Diego and Washington, D.C. Sample counties in which he has developed and implemented comprehensive assessment projects include Cook County, IL; Orange County, FL; and GwinnettCounty, GA. Statewide assessment projects led by Mr. O’Sullivan include the states of Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, New York and New Jersey. 

Mr. O’Sullivan is the consummate scientist-practitioner. He is routinely recognized by clients for his outstanding dedication and attention to detail. His statistical skills and knowledge of cutting-edge assessment practices are unparalleled.

Mr. O’Sullivan has earned his Master of Science degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the Illinois Institute of Psychology and is ABD toward the completion of his Ph.D. in the same field. 

  

Nahren Ishaya, Ph.D. (ABD) ~ Senior Consultant

Biography: 

Ms. Ishaya is experienced in all aspects of entry-level and promotional assessment in the public safety sector, including job analysis, test validation, candidate preparation, assessor training and test administration.  She specializes in promotional assessment process development and implementation for both fire service and law enforcement.

Ms. Ishaya has a M.S. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the Illinois Institute of Technology and is completing work on her Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at the Illinois Institute of Technology.  In addition to her work in selection and promotion, Ms. Ishaya is also actively involved in research in the area of work-family conflict in the lives of police officers.

 

Emily Landem, M.S. ~ Consultant

Biography:

Ms. Landem’s area of expertise is in the area of public safety employee selection, both entry level and promotional, and specifically in the development and implementation of written examinations and assessment center exercises. She developed processes for various ranks within police and fire departments, from police chief assessment centers to practical assessments for driver engineers in the fire service.  Her interests include assessment centers, job analysis and creating overall organization effectiveness through selection.

Ms. Landem holds a M.S in Industrial/Organizational Psychology (Personnel and Human Resource Development) from the Illinois Institute of Technology. 


Amanda Eibes, M.S. ~ Project Manager

Biography:

Amanda Eibes joined Industrial/Organizational Solutions during the completion of her graduate degree in December of 2010. Through her time with I/O Solutions, Ms. Eibes has worked in a number of evolving capacities, including project intern, project associate and assistant project manager.

Working exclusively with police, fire, corrections, sheriff’s and state police departments, Amanda delivers excellence to her clients in terms of customer service, professionalism, expertise and overall client satisfaction.  Additionally, Amanda serves on the cross-functional team at I/O Solutions, which initiates organization-wide change by targeting organizational efficiency, market placement and overall employee workplace satisfaction.

Ms. Eibes opened the St. Louis, Missouri office in January of 2012.  Currently, she manages this office where its strategic Central Midwest placement complements and supports the Chicago-based headquarters.

Ms. Eibes holds a Masters degree in Business and Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Elmhurst College, with Bachelor of Landscape Architecture and Psychology degrees from Iowa State University.  She is an active member in the Society of Industrial/Organizational Psychologists, the Chicago Industrial/Organizational Psychologists, as well as the Gateway Association of Industrial/Organizational Psychologists, based in St. Louis, Missouri.

 

Meghan Anderson, M.S. ~ Project Manager

Biography:

Ms. Anderson managesthe development of local and national written promotional examinations and structured oral interview development.  She hasbeen with I/O Solutions since 2006, beginning as a testing services specialist.She was promoted into the consulting team and currently works as a project manager.

Ms. Anderson received her M.S. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Elmhurst Collegein Elmhurst, IL.


Maria Szczech, M.A. ~ Project Associate

 Biography:

 Ms. Szczech supports the consulting staff and coordinates assessment centers, including assessor recruiting and site procurement. She holds a master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
