Integrity Testing…the Selection Tool of the Future

Cognitive ability exams have been personnel selection workhorses for decades. Such exams have proven to be robustly predictive and legally defensible, making them safe and effective selection tools.

Another largely unused selection tool exists, integrity testing. This has the promise to be valid, legal and especially well-suited to public safety selection. Integrity testing could become a new selection workhorse, aiding in the prediction of the candidates who are most likely to succeed on the job while reducing costs.
