After careful development of the examination, it was administered successfully to a diverse population of 2,670 candidates. In their letter of October 15, 2007, the D.O.J. indicated that: “The City’s use of the 2007 examination as described herein will not violate Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended.”
